This wrapup covers some news items from the last couple weeks in the Chicago area punk scene, since I missed last week. Longtime pop punk humorists the Brokedowns released their new album, Sick of Space via Red Scare Industries. The band's catchy songwriting and sense of humor are on full display here. Stream the album on Spotify. Watch the lyric video for "Led Zeppelin III" over at Riot Fest. The Brokedowns will play Vacation Bible School's 20th anniversary show at the Beat Kitchen on June 23. Sass Dragons, Arms Aloft and Stress Dreams also play that show. More info here.

Hardcore punks 2Minute Minor released their new album, Blood on Our Front Stoop. The album contains 13 songs, all of which are less than two minutes in length. "Unite the Crew" includes guest vocals from members of XDeclineX, Through N Through and Anti-World System. Stream or download the album for free at Bandcamp. Blood on Our Front Stoop is also out on vinyl, cassette and CD. Check out the physical versions here.

Swimsuit Addition released their long-awaited and final album, Dumb Dora. It is out on a limited edition 100 cassette run via Midwest Action. Order the tape and stream the full album at Midwest Action's Bandcamp page. The album also has an accompanying comic written and illustrated by vocalist/guitarist/keyboardist Jen Dot.

Rolling Meadows punk band Sometimes a Wolf released their new EP, Give Up via Brown Bear Records. Stream or download the six song EP at their Bandcamp page.

Country-influenced Elephant Gun released two songs from their upcoming album, Eat the House. This will be the band's fifth full-length album. It will be out on cassette and CD via In the Lake Records. Stream the songs "Zodiac Crash" and "Haunted" at Elephant Gun's Bandcamp page. The record release show for Eat the House will be on Friday at Catapult Records & Toys in Crystal Lake. Avantist, Lever and Man Bites Dog open the show. More info here.

Hardcore punks UGLYBoNES announced their new album, Sunshine. The album will be released on August 15. Check out the album cover on Facebook. This will be UGLYBoNES' third full-length album. They last released Growing Concerns in 2016.

La Armada announced US and Canadian tour dates for next month. The hardcore band has been on the road with Propagandhi this year and will meet back up with them north of the border. La Armada released Anti-Colonial Vol. 1 earlier this year. The tour dates follow.
